Residents with Dementia and related conditions are cared for in a safe and protected environment. Residents have access to a beautiful secure landscaped courtyard with paved walkway. Staff are specially trained in the care of those with memory impairment and behaviour associated with this condition. Residents can engage in activities to meet their needs, interest and attention span. Activities are physically, creatively, musically, spiritually and socially stimulating. These success orientated activities focus on what the resident can still do, rather than what they can’t, so that he or she can live with respect and dignity. We work to find easier ways for the resident to stay involved in daily life by unlocking their remaining cognitive and functional abilities and promoting their use. Understanding that Dementia affects the entire family, we include family members in the care giving team.
