Visiting Arrangements

Visitors are welcome to visit residents at a time preferred by the resident. It is the residents’ choice whom they wish to have visit them.

The resident can receive visitors in private in their bedrooms or in one of our communal areas or in the café.

We request that the resident’s morning personal care times, their usual bedtime routine and residents’ mealtimes are respected.   Should the resident wish to have assistance from a family member during mealtimes, this can be facilitated in one of the small communal areas or in the privacy of the residents’ own bedroom. The resident or family member should discuss this request with the nurse in charge on the unit.

There is no limit to the number of different people who can visit you throughout the day, however, if there are a lot of people who wish to visit the same resident at the same time, it is recommended that they take turns to visit.

Children are welcome to visit but an adult is required to provide supervision at all times to ensure the children adhere to the centre’s visiting guidance.

Visitors, upon entering the care centre must sign in and sign out in the visitor’s logbook located at the Main Reception and at the Rosewood entrance.

We request that all visitors adhere to all infection control measures, including good hand hygiene by using the hand sanitizers provided, using respiratory hygiene and cough etiquette. There is no requirement to wear a facemask, however, if you wish to do so, face masks are available at reception, at Rosewood entrance and on all units.

Visitors are asked to avoid visiting if they have respiratory viral infection. The centre reserves the right to impose restrictions on visiting arrangements during an outbreak of communicable infectious disease in accordance with public health guidance and, where following a risk assessment, visiting poses a risk to the resident concerned or to another resident, or where the resident concerned has requested the restriction of visits.

All residents and families and nominated representatives will be informed of any changes to the centre’s visiting arrangements.

We kindly appreciate your cooperation in adhering to the above visiting arrangements.
